Associated Press: More Americans Say They Have No Religion.
I submit that they missed the religion of Marx.
Let's forgo the economics -- the science that explains cause and effect -- and instead we'll embrace "change we can believe in." Faith required. Nope, no religion there.
No matter how many illiterates once believed the world was flat, it was still round; their beliefs did not make it any flatter. Popular widespread ignorance is still ignorance, even when it controls the guns.
I don't want change I can believe in. I want change that works. And if too many people believe in something that doesn't work, then that's not a policy problem -- it's an education problem.
Going back to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, government is about protecting those who succeed by doing what works from those who live in poverty because they don't understand what works. That is why leaders swear to uphold the Constitution rather than the will of the majority. That is why we let the government have guns.
And when ignorance reaches a critical mass and rises to power -- well, that is why we let the people have guns, isn't it?
That's the John Galt Line.
You gotta check out the new Evan Sayet video.
