It goes without saying that this is going to cause some government growth. Just try to remember that all the commotion is coming from people who profit from commotion, both in government and the media.

Here it comes. The Governator of Mexifornia declared a state of emergency (with no reported cases) to make sure that they are once again first in line at the federal government trough.
By the way, to put this whole thing in perspective, Mexico City has reported 150 deaths and 2500 overall cases. That is a mortality rate of 6 percent which seems scary, but given the population of Mexico City, the overall infection rate is 3 hundredths of one percent. The amortized mortality rate (against total population) is 18 for every million. Compare that to the 2004 mortality rate published by the CDC for influenza/pneumonia at 204 per million population.
Someone please explain how this is an emergency....
