Oil is now over $70 a barrel, and the price has risen for 50 consecutive days -- a near-record streak.
Now I remember, the last time oil crossed upward through $70, how it was all about Bush and Cheney helping out their oil buddies. Because it's never supply and demand, as you know.
Today, of course, seventy dollar oil is still news, but for some reason it doesn't deserve a headline anymore. Perhaps that would be a problem for Obama.
I think it's time for the "jobs saved" approach. Perhaps on Obama's next TV appearance, the teleprompter can have him say how many dollars his policies are saving us on each $70+ barrel of oil...
God saves. Obama spends.
