Associated Press: Obama wants spending cuts in the next budget.
Has everyone forgotten, back in April, when Obama gave his department heads 90 days to cut a measly $100 million? We talked at length about what a tiny pittance that was, when considered in the context of the entire federal budget.
Isn't it funny how we never heard back about that? If it's a headline when the government resolves to cut back by less than a factor of .00003, don't you think it would be breaking news if they actually succeded? Yet we heard nothing -- what do you suppose that means?
And in the end, the federal government ran a $1,420,000 millions deficit for the year. That's a whopping ten percent of the entire economy -- and that's just how much they went over budget.
